The XPS client displays a warning message when a container move violates a placement rule. In most cases, the warning dialog box provides you with the option to override the rule and proceed with the move.
The following placement warnings are most common:
45’ containers are not allowed in this slot.
This length container is not allowed in this slot.
Container does not match preplan.
Container not routed for this vessel.
Slot interference: other end of this slot is occupied.
Reefer not allowed in this slot.
This container type is for above deck stow only.
This container type is for below deck stow only.
Hazardous cargo usually not allowed below deck.

Discharge port is not in the port rotation of this vessel.
This container is an overstow.
Container is restricted to above deck stow only.
Container is restricted to below deck stow only.
Preplan calls for an empty in this slot, not a full.
Container is planned and change flag is not cleared.

A 20' or 40' container cannot be stacked on top of a 45' container.
20'/40' interference: 40' containers hang into the slot you are trying to stow.
A 20' container cannot be stacked on top of a 40/45/48' container.
Conflict with other container: 40'/45'/48' containers must be stowed in alternating bays.
40'/45'/48' container can not fit: the other end of this slot is occupied.
Container NAVU1230167 is loaded at this port. This container will not be restowed.
Transversely over-dim. Might interfere with (projected) in slot 020982.
